PORTRAIT Parts Ways With Guitarist, Unveils New Lineup
December 21, 2012Swedish heavy metallers PORTRAIT have released the following statement:
"Richard Lagergren [guitar] is no longer a member of PORTRAIT. This, however, does NOT mean that the band is dead, or something as ridiculous as that.
"It has come to our knowledge that some lies and false rumors concerning this are being spread, so please don't believe anything you hear or see about the band if it's not announced [by the bandmembers themselves].
"The next album, entitled 'Crossroads', is still in the making and despite some internal turbulence lately things are finally moving forward. David Olofsson (formerly on bass guitar) has taken over Richard's guitar duties, and he is the most talented guitarist the band has ever had. Because of this, we do, of course, have a new bass player as well and that is none other than Cab Castervall, whose skills everyone knows from his former band HYPNOSIA. The rehearsals with the new lineup have gone immensely well and the future looks bright."
